Suggestion box is now open for next semesters anime

AS the title says we are starting recommendations for next semesters shows in this google doc

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsTd-kq1rebidDlqcjBsV1V2YXAxN0pzVy0zWDNMZ0E&usp=sharing

so if anyone comes here despite all the beliefs me and ryan have about how this site works you can now also be involved.

In other news Penguin Drum is now being watched 4 episodes a week in order to finish in time due to some delays and song of the sky will be somewhat accelerated as well

Also previos staff member Michael Angelo has started an anime newsletter at this location

http://indyaninews.wordpress.com/

Voting for new shows will most likely be in about two weeks depending on the suggestion lists
Hopefully one day this will be seen,
Benjamin Skov

And We're Back, Everyone!

Get Excited

Due to some technical issues, I've been tragically unable to update this blog - which I believe is primarily used so I can remember what we're watching every week! Anyways, I hope this hasn't caused you too much of an inconvenience. So, before we jump into the meat of this post, here's an update on some of what has happened this semester!

We're a ways into homosociality and mass murder the anime and are heading into the last episodes of Working! as well as the first of Tiger & Bunny. On the Sunday side of things, a number of storms including but not limited to the Superbowl have pushed Chuunibyou and Ergo Proxy back a little, but I swear on red-herring symbolism that we will find time to fit in the entirety of Mawaru Penguindrum and Sound of the Sky!

On the trivia end of things, we've passed through a Code Geass, Eureka 7, and Berserk craze due to my viewing habits over the past Winter break. Considering my inability to remember the entirety of what was asked, here are some highlights: Are You Talking Bout My Brethren Party Members? The Berserk Edition, It's Not A Geass! The Code Geass Edition, What's With That Music In The Background - both the Engrish and J Ska editions, and Are You Talking Bout My Imperial Concubine? Feel free to interpret those however you should choose.

New Spring Shows

Alright, the anticipated day has come and gone, and with that we have our next semester shows. I warned you. Here's what we'll be looking at after the Christmas break!

Thursdays

Working!

Set in a family restaurant in Hokkaido, the northern prefecture of Japan, 16-year-old high school student Souta Takanashi works part-time along with his strange co-workers: Popura Taneshima, a high school girl who's a year older than Souta, yet easily mistaken for an elementary/middle schooler, and Kyoko Shirafuji, the 28-year-old store manager who doesn't bother to do any work at all.

Appropriately followed by...

Next Semester Shows!

Options for next semester's shows, that is. Drawing from the staffs catalog of shows and those suggested by the club - as well as one or two repeats from last semesters options - we've created a massive selection for you to vote on. There will be four options for every slot - two 12 episode and two 26 episode shows for Thursday and Sunday each. There's a bit more organization to them in that half of them are older - from very to like five years - and the rest are from very recent seasons. Who knows, perhaps you'e seen an episode or two?

Anyways, as before, try to vote for things you may not have seen before. You might end up, that way, discovering something you end up liking. That aside, peruse these before voting. We'll show them again, but there are a metric fuckton of them.

Also, some of the videos are fan trailers, some of short scenes, one or two may be Japanese trailers due to lack of English trailers. Then of course there are ops and official trailers. Deal with it.

Thursdays

12 episode new

• Working!!
• Humanity Has Declined
• My Little Monster
• Rinne no Lagrange

New Fall Shows

You Heard Wrong

So Settle Down

Seeing as Texhnolyze and Fate Zero have both sputtered out in depressing manners that make you feel bad about life, let's get going on our new shows. To save you the trouble of 6 episodes of loli detectives every Thursday, Angel Beats! has been swapped with Heaven's Memo-pad.

Thursdays

Angel Beats!

Otonashi awakens only to learn he is dead. A rifle-toting girl named Yuri explains that they are in the afterlife, and Otonashi realizes the only thing he can remember about himself is his name. Yuri tells him that she leads the Shinda Sekai Sensen (Afterlife Battlefront) and wages war against a girl named Tenshi. Unable to believe Yuri's claims that Tenshi is evil, Otonashi attempts to speak with her, but the encounter doesn't go as he intended.

Otonashi decides to join the SSS and battle Tenshi, but he finds himself oddly drawn to her. While trying to regain his memories and understand Tenshi, he gradually unravels the mysteries of the afterlife.

New Fall Shows

You Heard Right

Get Excited

Now that we've passed beyond the wonderfully entertaining Puella Magi Madoka Magika and Daily Lives of High School Boys, allow me the pleasure of announcing the new shows you all already probably know about. Ignore this paragraph. It's just here as a buffer between the title and second heading.

Thursdays

Gosick

The year is 1924, the place, Saubure, a small European country neatly tucked beside the Alps...

Kazuya Kujo has been studying abroad at the prestigious Saint Marguerite Academy, where urban legends and horror stories are all the rage. Most Kazuya ignores but the story of the Queen Berry, a mysterious ghost ship, really gets to him. Of course, his brainy friend Victorique is much more intrigued by true stories, and she uses her unrivaled logic to solve mysteries even the town's famous detective can't. Ironically, it is Victorique's inquisitive nature that leads the duo to board a ship that matches the Queen Berry's description to a tee, a ship that might just hold the key to solving a sinister mystery...

Fall 2012 Line Up

Thursdays

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou

Or, nichibros.

Tadakuni, Hidenori, and Yoshitake are students at the all-boys academy, Sanada North High School. This is a tale about just that—their daily lives as students. Winning the basketball tournament? Finding true love? You won't find any of that here. Whether it's sparking random arguments while hanging out with friends, meeting that one weird co-worker at a part-time job, or even letting imaginations run wild on a windy afternoon, we've all experienced the show's ordinary but true-to-life themes at one point or another.
