Tom's Tuesdays: Gundam Models

Madame President the Vice President here. It's Tuesday which means you must be here to read what I've written. That or you are waiting for some other day of the week. I'm here for more Gundam.

The Gundam Franchise is one of my favorites and while it started as an anime like most mecha anime they have made a large amount of models for them.

Models are broken down into two categories. Size and Grade.

Sizes
1/144, 1/100, 1/60, 1/48 1/1
The first number is for a number of inches on a model the second would be the number of inches on a life sized version. (1/100 model was 10 inches. Then the life sized version would be 1000 or roughly 83 feet tall)

Second is the Grade
No Grade, High Grade(HG), Master Grade(MG), Perfect Grade(PG), and Real Grade(RG)
From No Grade to Perfect Grade have an increasing amount of flexibility and larger amounts of parts.
They are also normally cheaper from left to right. Real Grade being an exception and made for the 30th anniversary  where made to be 1/144 scale to be cheap enough but have better articulation and larger part count then the High Grades.

Perfect Grades are always 1/60 sized models.

Master Grades are only 1/100

High Grades can be 1/144 or 1/100

Real Grades are always 1/144

1/48 are the exception of the No Grade being cheaper and less flexible. Their are only two of these type models. A MSN-06 Zaku and RX78-2 Gundam

You might also be thinking what about the 1/1 You never mentioned that.  Their is only one 1/1 model and it stands in Japan(of course)

I don't want to make a really long post. So tune in on Saturday where the post will be Models I've made. If anyone has any models they have built.
Feel free to send an email to URIAnime@yahoo.com Subject anime model.
These models don't have to just be Gundam. I also will have some Zoid model pictures and the Club even owns one Eva Model.
