Manga Review: Sand Chronicles

As far as manga goes, I haven't read a whole lot.  With the semester in full swing, and my preference for anime or text books over manga in general, I haven't read anything new recently.  A few years ago, I borrowed Sand Chronicles from a friend, and really enjoyed it.  So here goes nothing!

Manga Review: Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation

For this week's manga review, I decided to look back on a title I picked up a few years ago that turned out to be surprisingly entertaining, Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation.

Manga Review: MxO

Hi everyone, it's my turn this week for the manga review and this week our topic is Mx0 (which I've been misspelling as MxO for a while now).  Basically this series follows a high school student who accidentally ends up enrolled at a secret magical high school and has to disguise his lack of magical ability.

Sunday Manga Review: Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket manga.jpg

One of the first manga I picked up was Fruits Basket.  It was one of the first wildly popular shojo series released in English.  The manga is 23 volumes and the entirety is available in English.  This series was pretty interesting and enjoyable to read, but I found certain sections to be confusing.  Now on to the review!

Manga Review: Karakuri Doji Ultimo

For this week's manga review, I decided to show off an interesting little series I started following a while back when I learned about its somewhat unique conception. With that said, let's cut to the chase and check out Karakuri Doji Ultimo.

Manga Review: Jitsu wa Watashi wa

Hi everyone, once again it's my turn to review a manga(my favorite of the weekly assignments).  This week our topic is Jitsu wa Watashi wa which translates to "the truth is I'm a ...".  It follows a high school student who is horrible at keeping secrets who finds out that his crush is an airheaded vampire and quickly finds himself protecting the secrets of several other classmates.  The plot follows the chaos that ensues as each of the characters tries to enjoy a normal high school life despite their secrets and dysfunctional personalities.

Manga Review - Death Note

As you may have figured out by this point, Death Note is one of my fall-back answers for the question "what is your favorite anime/manga".  This is partially because Death Note was the first manga I read, and also because the manga and anime were both really good.  In some ways, it's popularity has faded a bit over the years (with oh so many new things to be excited about), but it still seems to be remembered and recommended to those who have yet to see it. Let's get to the manga review now.

Manga Review: Hoshi no Samidere

Hello everyone, sorry for being so late in posting.  This week I'm going to review Hoshi no Samidere which is often called Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer.  The main character is Amamiya Yuuhi, a college student who is one day called to participate in a battle to save the earth by a talking lizard.  Of course he wants no part in this which sets the tone for this off-beat adventure story.

Manga Review: Otomen

In high school, my best friend and I would spend a lot of time in Borders looking at different manga series, and buying those that caught our interest.  Unfortunately, Borders is gone, and being at college and working has cut into my time to look at and read manga.  Fortunately for all of you, there were a few series I picked up back then that were really memorable.

One of my favorite series back then was Otomen.  It was a cute romantic comedy with a good amount of humor everywhere.  Let's take a closer look!

Manga Review: One-Punch Man

Here's a thought: what happens when a superhero becomes so strong that none of the villains or other heroes can remotely compare? What's life like for that hero, and how do they make use of such power? For a not-so-serious answer to that question, let's take a look at a little manga called One-Punch Man.

Manga Review: Millennium Snow

This week's Sunday Manga Review will be on "Millennium Snow" written by Bisco Hatori, whois better known for the popular series "Ouran High School Host Club".  There are many stories about Vampires and Werewolves floating around these days, but this short series is an interesting take on the trope.  Let's take a look!
