Fanmade Saturday: The Early Days (Fan-made Videos) Part 1

It's been a while since I first started watching anime.  I remember in high school that Youtube was just getting big, and everyone would get together and show their favorite videos in the "Science Club" (More on that here).  There were a few that were really funny, and rewatched often.

DeathNote was one of the first series I read manga for, and it then became the first anime I watched on AdultSwim. The first AMV (2008) was one of the winners at my first con, and even not having watched the video in years, it gave me chills.  Even after having seen many other anime, DeathNote is still one of my favorites, and the amount of fanworks created for it is astonishing.  It really was a great show with a cool premise and interesting, memorable characters.
