September is here, and along with it comes the new semester. We are looking forward to exciting shows, fun activities, and new friends. For those of you who came out to First Night, I hope you didn't get soaked through, and I really enjoyed getting to talk with you all. We've got a bunch of stuff coming up, so here's the news!
Our first meeting will be this Thursday at 6pm in Memorial Union Room 318. Following a club tradition of many years, we will be showing a 2-episode series (now upgraded to DVD from VHS). Starting Sunday, we will begin our regular programming (with one set of shows on Sundays and one on Thursdays). A group of us will be going to dinner at Hope Dining Hall at 5pm and then going to the meeting. Look for the yellow jacket.
If you have any suggestions for shows to watch, email urianime@yahoo.com by Wednesday night with the name, # of episodes (series should be less than 30 episodes), a 1-sentence description, if you own it (DVD/VHS) or not, and a trailer/clip if you have one (or we can find one). That way we can show them to the club at the meeting.
This year, we will be using Bing Rewards to help us get some stuff for the club. They offer some really useful rewards, and you can help us! If you join their rewards using this link and get to "Silver", we get $5 in Amazon gift cards for each, which is really cool.
In other news, we will be getting some neat stuff from Right Stuf as part of their Stuf for Clubs program. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.
